For more than 45 years, the SEMO Rx family of pharmacies has served Southeast Missouri with an unmatched commitment to patient care.
In 1976, Richard Logan Jr. and his friend Ken Seiler purchased Hummel Drug in Charleston, Missouri. Hummel was a staple in the community with a long history committed to serving the citizens of Charleston. Logan and Seiler renamed the pharmacy L&S Pharmacy and carried on the tradition of dedicated patient care. Two years later in 1978, the two acquired Medical Arts in Sikeston and brought their patient commitment with them. In 2002, Logan’s son Tripp joined the team, carrying on his dad’s legacy.
Upon Ken’s retirement, the Logans continued to expand their local service delivery. In 2014, they opened New Madrid Pharmacy in New Madrid, Missouri, later transitioning that location to their good friend and pharmacist J.B. Small. In 2021, they expanded services in Sikeston by opening Sikeston Pharmacy, and in 2022 launched SEMO Rx Care Coordination. In 2023, Medical Arts merged with Sikeston Pharmacy in anticipation of the expansion of services to Benton Missouri with the opening of Benton Pharmacy in the spring.
Our pharmacies are operated, and services provided by an incredible team of skilled pharmacists, technicians, and community health workers, all committed to providing inexpensive, accurate, and fast prescription and healthcare services to our patients. We continue to tailor our services to fit the needs of our community, ensuring the people of Southeast Missouri get the best care possible.
